Horse Shows and Gymkhanas are held the second Saturday of the month, May - September. LOCATION: Coal Creek Arena, 20901 East 6th Avenue, Aurora, Colorado.
Show registration starts at 8am, and classes start promptly at 9am. Gymkhana registration starts at 3pm, and classes start at 4pm. Print out or view Class list, Show Bill, and Membership Forms from the FORMS TAB.
2008 Judges: Show and Trail Classes June - Shanna Wagner July - Gerald Olson Gerald Olsen was born in London, England, and moved his family to Colorado in February 1997. His mother is British, and his father is a native of Colorado. He and his family own 'Eagles Wings Ranch', a horse boarding and training facility 25 miles east of Denver, in Bennett. Gerald has been working with horses for a number of years, and actively shows horses for both himself and his clients. He specializes in Quarter Horses in both Western and Hunt Seat, but has also shown Paints, Arabians, and National Show Horses. He has been involved in horse show judging for the last three years, and is planning on getting his QH judging card in the near future. Gerald is an active member of AQHA, APHA, AHA, NSBA, and USEF. August 9- Sandy Thurston Sandy has been working with horses since the tender age of 11, was competing in 4H AQHA events, and began judging at 19. She has taught Equine Science classes for 7 years at the Scottsdale Community. Also while in Scottsdale, she coached the judging team and was judging Open and 4H shows. She has a masters Degree in Special Education and teaches in Jefferson County, CO. May/August 30 - Angela Mannick Angela Mannick was born in Scottsbluff, Nebraska but has lived in Colorado all of her life. She grew up in Littleton and got an Associates Degree from Northeastern Junior College in Equine Management. She trained horses for Metcalf Quarter Horses in Pilot Point, Texas and then returned to school to get her Bachelors in Equine Sciences and Masters in Cooperative Extension from Colorado State University. Angela was a member of the CSU judging team when they were reserve at the American Paint Horse Association Spring Sweepstakes, AQHA Congress Champions and reserve at the AQHA World Show. She personally finished 12th overall at this event. Angela has been judging open and 4-H shows all over Colorado and Wyoming since 2003. She now lives in Kiowa with her husband and owns and operates Windy View Performance Horses. She starts young horses, gives lessons and shows. Angela has a versatile background and has worked with Morgans, Mustangs and stock horses. She currently works for the Arabian Horse Association as the Youth Programs and Marketing Coordinator. “There is nothing in this world that I would rather be doing than spending time with kids and horses,” says Angela. “The key to a successful horseman is knowing what you have and working with what you’ve got.” September - Amy Starr Amy Starr is a native of Arizona, and moved to Colorado in 1989. Amy has been training and showing horses for the past 25 years for both English, western and ranch horse disciplines. Amy breeds and shows her own horses and has a passion and admiration for the amateur rider that works hard with their own horse. Amy has been judging both open and 4-H horse shows since 1992. Amy is very involved in the Colorado State 4-H Horse Program and a statewide leader in several program areas. October 4- Alex Dill

These fees are per person, no matter how many horses one person rides per day. Class Fees:
Max out per person is 10 classes. Family Memberships Max Out at $75 per family, per day. All riders must be registered members on the current years' membership. Children 18 and younger must be registered under a Family membership.
